Egypt To Receive $3 Bln In Petroleum Aid From Saudi

Samy Khallaf, Advisor to the Finance Minister and Head of Public Debt Department, said the government will receive over the coming period the remaining portion of the $5 billion financial aid from Saudi Arabia in the form of petroleum products worth $3 billion.

Egypt has already received $2 billion grant from Saudi Arabia before the latest visit by Prime Minister Hazem El Beblawi to Riyadh.

Khallaf revealed that the country’s domestic public debt rose to EGP 1.560 trillion. He also unveiled the injection of nearly 30% of the first economic stimulus package of EGP 29.7 billion.
