Egypt will open the first hotel ever, the military-owned Al Masah, in its new administrative capital city this month, a source with knowledge told Amwal Al Ghad on Monday.
The total cost of Al Masah Capital Hotel is worth more than 1 billion Egyptian pounds ($56.6 million).
“The hotel is one of the major giant facilities built in the new capital for this year,” an official source in one of the construction firms working on the hotel project told Amwal Al Ghad.
The hotel was implemented in an 18-month timeframe, he added.
The country’s construction majors; Hassan Allam, Orascom Construction, and MEDCOM have participated in establishing Al Masa Capital project.
Earlier in September, the three construction majors were also mandated to execute additional works in the ministerial district in the new capital, he noted, referring that these works include infrastructure and utilities lines as well as other major buildings.
