Egypt’s government plans to issue treasury bills and bonds worth 317.5 billion Egyptian pounds during the first quarter of the fiscal year 2016/17 that starts in July, state news agency MENA reported on Tuesday.
In the short term, the finance ministry will offer three-month, six-month, nine-month and one-year treasury bills, MENA said.
Regarding the long-term debt tools, the ministry intends to sell three-year, five-year, seven-year and ten-year treasury bonds.
The current domestic debt reached EGP 2.5 trillion in March, according to the latest data from the central bank.
