Egypt is set to allocate 4,000 housing units in Port Said city, 170km (106 miles) northeast of Cairo, at the end of 2019, said head of the state’s General Authority for Housing and Building Cooperatives (GAHBC) Hossam Rezik on Saturday.
The 4,000 housing units are with total investments of 3.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($199.1 million), Rezik told Amwal Al Ghad, referring that the country earlier assigned 3,000 homes out of the 4,000 units during September 2017.
Moreover, the official added that Egypt is negotiating with New Administrative Capital Company for Urban Development, a firm in charge of developing the project, to attain a land plot over 200 faddans maximum for cooperative associations in Cairo and a number of other governorates.
