Egypt tenders third floating regasification unit, official says

Egypt’s state-run EGAS has launched a tender to rent a third floating and storage regasification unit (FSRU) with a capacity of 750 million cubic feet per day, an official told Reuters.

The official said the tender was launched on Tuesday and would close in two weeks.

The FSRUs allow energy-starved Egypt to import liquefied natural gas and convert it to natural gas to feed its power grid.
