Egypt’s stocks have ended Tuesday slightly higher posting gains of EGP 32 million. The main gauge closed above 5625 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Tuesday, except for the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 which solely fell.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 went up by 0.19% to close at 5626.36 p; while the EGX20 rose by 0.32% to end at 6535.83 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 dipped by 0.02% to conclude 437.08 p. The price index EGX100 increased by 0.18% to finish 750.16 p.
The capital market has closed at EGP 366.627 billion on Tuesday.
Higher Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Tuesday, the trading volume has reached 90.119 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 373.088 million, exchanged through 16.973 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 162 listed securities have been traded in; 45 declined, 82 advanced; while 33 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Egyptians remained net buyers seizing 69.38% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 71.295 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners and Arabs were net sellers seizing 21.6% and 9.01% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 41.665 million and EGP 29.629 million, excluding the deals.
