Egypt’s stocks finished higher on Wednesday with gains worth 1.2 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 157.3million).
The market capitalization has recorded 500.239 billion pounds during the closing session of Wednesday.
Indices
Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 raised by 0.66 percent to 8905.6 points.
EGX20 jumped by 0.54 percent to 9342.61 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 edged lower by 0.19 percent to 467.51 points.
The price index, EGX100 went down by 0.01 percent to 985.62 points.
Turnovers low
On Wednesday, the stocks’ trading volume has registered 128.849 million securities, with turnovers closed at EGP 428.323 million, exchanged through 17.362 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 170 listed securities have been traded in; 80 declined, 46 advanced; while 43 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Arab and Non-Arab investors were net sellers on Wednesday getting 6.42 % and 22.64% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 4.026 million and EGP 1.769 million, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, the Egyptians investors were net buyers seizing 70.94% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 5.796 million, excluding the deals.
