Egypt reports 535 new coronavirus cases in largest single-day spike on Monday, recovery toll jumps

Egypt reported on Monday 535 new coronavirus cases on Monday – the country’s biggest single-day spike in confirmed infections, taking the toll to 12,764, according to a health ministry statement.

The country also saw 15 deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 645. However, the total number of recoveries has surged to 3,440 on Monday from 3,172 on Sunday, the statement said.
