Egypt reports 221 new coronavirus cases, 12 deaths on Monday

Egypt reported 221 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total infection tally to109,422 since the outbreak of the pandemic in February.

Monday’s infections toll is down from the 239 cases reported the day before.

The ministry also reported 12 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 6,380.

The statement said that 97 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 100,439.

The government has recently urged caution due to the recent slight increase of the daily detected coronavirus cases in Egypt.
