Egypt’s Misr for Industry and Trade – Mintra intends to enter into an alliance with a number of Kenyan firms to build new factories in Kenya, Mintra general manager announced.
According to Hani Cassis – Mintra’s General Manager, the new planned factories in Kenya will be with total investments estimated at US$100 million approximately.
In exclusive statements to Amwal Al Ghad on Tuesday, Cassis referred to the Kenyan government’s support for the alliance and its willingness to offer the necessary lands to establish the new paper factories.
Moreover, Cassis said the factories would specialize in paper production, packing and wrapping. He further noted that Mintra targets building 100 factories through the alliance in the upcoming period.
The African Export Import Bank (AFREXIM Bank) announced its keenness to finance the Egyptian export companies to African markets with US$500 million.
