Mohamed Kamel Amr, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, has denied any crisis in relations between Egypt and the UAE; referring to only a problem is being resolved.

The minister has elaborated that Dr Essam El Hadad, Assistant to President for the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, travelled to the UAE in order to compromise the stalemate of Egyptian nationals there,

As to the Iranian President’s visit to Egypt following the President Morsi’s visit to Iran, the Egyptian minister stated that the visits came in the framework of the conferences of Non-Alignment Movement and the Islamic Summit. He underscored that the Gulf countries’ security and Egypt’s have the same significance; therefore there will not be relations with Iran detrimental to the Gulf Countries.

Amr pointed out that excluding Egypt from the US President’s visit to the Middle East region, which will be in Jordon, Palestine and Israel, doesn’t mean there is tension between the two countries. But, the Minister affirmed, the relations with the US is still strong; whereas America is a great power and Egypt is a key power in the region.
