Egypt’s stocks gained EGP 1.7 billion during the midday session of Sunday. The main gauge inched up to near 5475 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange’s indices were wavering in green notes during the midday session of Sunday.
Benchmark EGX30 increased by 0.90% to 5473.28 p; while EGX20 rose by 0.86% to 6369.68 p.
On the other hand, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up by 0.72% to 450.04 p. Price index EGX100 surged by 0.70% to 763.11 p.
The capital market has reached EGP 362.133 billion during the midday session of Sunday, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad English at 12:21 p.m. Cairo time (10:21 GMT).
Trading Volumes & Values
The trading volume has recorded 38.901 million securities worth EGP 100.047 million, exchanged through 6917 transactions during Sunday midday.
Also during the midday session, 130 listed securities have been traded in; 10 fell, 100 advanced; while 20 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Local and Arab buying transactions have backed EGX’s midday gains for they were net buyers seizing 88.83% and 4.01% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 6.378 million and EGP 2.579 million, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 7.16% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 8.958 million, excluding the deals.
