Egypt confirms new daily record of 1,536 new coronavirus cases, 46 deaths

Egypt registered 1,536 new confirmed coronavirus cases and 46 on Sunday, marking another record of daily increases on both counts.

That brought the total number of fatalities to 959 and confirmed cases to 24,985, according to a health ministry statement. However, the total number of recoveries surged to 6,037 on Sunday, from 5,693 on Saturday, the statement said.
