Egypt accomplishes 96% of Cairo-Assiut road project – minister

Egypt has completed 96 percent of a two-way road project linking between Cairo and the far Upper Egyptian city of Assiut, Housing Minister Assem al-Gazzar announced on Wednesday

Dubbed as El Hadaba Road, the project aims to develop the surrounding area, links the western part of Assiut with Cairo road, at a length of 22.6 km and a total width of 22-33 km, al-Gazzar said.

El Hadaba Road consists of two phases, the first phase is with a 12 km length, while the second one is with a 10.6 km length, the minister added.
