Amid Thursday’s midday session, the EGX posted losses of EGP 341 million as the capital market amounted to EGP 348.604 billion at 11.52 GMT (1:52 Cairo time).
The main index, EGX30 dropped 0.27% to reach 4893.83 p. EGX20 went down 0.32% to reach 5683.99 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged 0.44% to reach 420.14 p. Price index EGX100 fell 0.27% to close at 766.81 p.
Traded volume reached million 42.211 million securities worth EGP 116.343 million, exchanged through 7.005 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 141 listed securities; 77 declined and 42 advanced while 22 keeping their previous levels.
Egyptians and Arabs were net buyers seizing 62.83% and 10.56% respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 26.035 million and EGP 2.991 million, excluding the deals.
On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 26.62%, with a net equity of EGP 29.027 million excluding the deals.
