The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) started Tuesday’s trading session up on the back of local buying.
By 10:20 am Cairo time, the benchmark EGX30 index inched up 6.14 points, or 0.04 percent, to 16,787.05 points.
The EGX70 index added 0.17 percent to 861.84 points, while the EGX100 index went up 0.16 percent to 2,199 points.
The equal-weighted EGX50 index edged up 0.19 percent to 2,920 points.
Trading volume reached about 22.7 million shares exchanged at a turnover of 222.26 million pounds through 1,600 transactions.
Egyptian investors were net buyers with 4.06 million pounds, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with 1.6 million pounds and 2.37 million pounds, respectively.
The heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) levelled up 0.22 percent to 84.5 pounds.
