EGX Losses EGP 3.56 Bln; Abbasiya Reprecussions

On Wednesday’s closing session, the EGX posted losses of EGP 3.56 billion as the capital market amounted to EGP 348.945 billion.

The main index, EGX30 dropped 0.77% to close at 4906.9 p. EGX20 went down 2.03% to close at 5701.98 p.

Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 sagged  2.45% to close at 422 p. Price index EGX100 fell 1.25% to close at 768.87 p.

Traded volume reached million 94.718 securities worth EGP 356.836 million, exchanged through 20.419 thousand transactions.

This was after trading in 174 listed securities; 152 declined and 18 advanced while 4 keeping their previous levels.

Egyptians were net sellers seizing 84.44% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 21.216 million excluding the deals.

On the other hand, non-Arab Foreigners and Arabs were net buyers seizing 12.28% and 3.28% respectively, with a net equity of EGP 5.711 million and EGP 15.505 million, excluding the deals.
