The EGX has lost L.E698 million during Wednesday’s mid -trading. As a result, the market capital of the listed stocks has reached L.E368.019 billion over Arab and foreigner investors’ selling activity.
EGX30 has witnessed a slide of %0.55 to reach 5038p, while EGX20 has witnessed a rise of %0.19 to reach 5910 p. In addition, EGX70 has witnessed an increase of %1.37 to reach 4948p; the EGX100 has witnessed a gain of %1.50 to close at 8243p.
The market has recorded an amount of trading valued at L.E322.260 million through a volume of trading amounted to 119.001 million shares for the 20 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 170 listed securities; the price of 98 rose and of 60 downed while the price of the rest (12 securities) remained fixed.
Egyptians were responsible for purchasing activity for L.E39.396 million, while foreigner and Arab investors made up L.E11.928 million and L.E27.468 million respectively of the selling activity.
The leading shares have recorded a collective slide led by Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT) of %5.06 reaching 1.50 EGP. EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) has come next for witnessing a slide of %2.02 reaching 12.63 EGP. In addition, Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE) has downed by %1.90 to reach 4.12 EGP. Eventually, the Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI) has encountered a slide of %0.79 to reach 23.79 EGP.
