The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Monday’s session in green for second consecutive session, with market capitalization gaining 999.82 million Egyptian pounds, amid Arab purchases.
The benchmark EGX30 inched up 0.07 percent, or 7.24 points, to close at 10,227.38 points.
The equally weighted index EGX 50 jumped 0.35 percent, or 5.32 points, to end at 1,520.63 points.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX 70 increased 0.01 percent, or 10.5 points, to close at 1,170.49 points, and the broader index EGX 100 climbed 0.71 percent, or 13.22 points to 1,885.22 points.
The trading volume reached 222.89 million shares, traded through 26,846 transactions, with a turnover of LE 222.89 million.
Arab investors were buyers at 30.32 million pounds, while Egyptian and foreign investors were net sellers at 23.51 million pounds, and 6.81 million pounds, respectively.
Foreign individuals were net sellers at 1.43 million pounds, while Egyptian and Arab individuals were net buyers at 11.83 million pounds, , and 43.47 million pounds, respectively.
Egyptian, Arab and foreign organizations sold at 35.3 million pounds, 12.14 million pounds, and 5.38 million pounds, respectively.
