The EGX has managed to earn L.E11.6 billion during Monday trading. As a result, the market capital of the listed stocks has reached L.E368.748 billion.
EGX30 has witnessed a rise of %4.25 to close at 5.099p. EGX20 has also witnessed a rise of %6.08 to close at 5.805p. In addition, EGX70 has witnessed an increase of %2.28 to close at 479.85p; the EGX100 has witnessed a gain of %3.15 to close at 801.21p.
The market has recorded an amount of trading valued at L.E694.712 million through a volume of trading amounted to 188.369 million shares for the 41 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 192 listed securities; the price of 161 rose and of 23 downed while the price of the rest (8 securities) remained fixed.
On Monday’s trading session, Egyptians and Foreigners were responsible for selling activity for L.E1.833 million and L.E6.926 million respectively, while the Arab investors made up L.E8.759 million of the purchasing activity.
The leading shares have recorded a collective rise led by Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT) which has witnessed a rise of %9.92 to close at L.E1.44. The Commercial International Bank- Egypt (COMI) has come next witnessing a rise of %4.46 to close at L.E24.34. The EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO) has also witnessed a rise of %4.11 to close at L.E12.91; Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC) has had a rise of %2.52 to close at L.E266.43.
