Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in the green area on Wednesday, with the main index, EGX30 surging by 0.95 per cent, to 28,874.99 points.
The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 climbed by 2.05 per cent, to 7,140.85 points.
The index, EGX100 index inched up by 1.96 per cent, to 10,018.43 points.
The total market cap reached 2,032,195,000,157 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners transactions were mainly buying with a total of 13,417,063 Egyptian pounds, and 73,050,180 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, the Egyptians were net sellers with 86,467,243 Egyptian pounds.

The shares of Arabia Investments Holding (AIH.CA) rose by 15.64 per cent, to close at the price of 0.621 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Qalaa for Financial Investments LLC – Qalaa Holding (CCAP) climbed by 14.97 per cent, to trade at the price of 3.380 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Rights Issue of Egyptians for Investment &Urban Development1 (EIUD.CA) jumped by 14.81 per cent, to the purchasing price of 0.093 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
The shares of Egyptian Arabian (cmar) Securities Brokerage EAC (EASB.CA) fell by 9.87 per cent, to close at 6.300 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Osool ESB Securities Brokerage (EBSC.CA) declined by 9.04 per cent, to close at 0.342 Egyptian pounds a share.
The shares of Acrow Misr (ACRO.CA) dropped by 7.50 per cent, to close at the price of 53.900 Egyptian pounds a share.
