During Monday’s midday session, the Egyptian Exchange has posted gains of EGP 2.1billion backed by the non-Arab foreign buyers. The capital market has amounted to EGP 384.700 billion during Monday’s midday, according to data compiled by Amwal Al Ghad at 12.23 p.m. Cairo time (10:23 GMT).
The EGX indices were green during midday.
The main index, EGX30 inched up by 0.77% to 5737.7 p. EGX20 rose by 0.79% to 6643.61 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up by 0.52% to 481.35 p. Price index EGX100 hiked by 0.55% to 812.56 p.
This was after trading in 150 listed securities; 29 declined, 94 advanced; while 27 keeping their previous levels.
During Monday’s midday session, the trading volume has reached 104.370 million securities worth EGP 206.208 million, exchanged 11.306 thousand transactions.
The EGX’s midday gains were backed by the non-Arab foreigners’ buying transactions as they were net buyers seizing 10.25% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 19.840 million excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers seizing 79.67% and 10.08% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 10.396 million and EGP 9.444 million excluding the deals.
