Egypt’s stocks ended higher on Sunday posting gains of EGP 575 million. The main gauge closed above 5185 pts.
The Egyptian Exchange indices were wavering in green notes during the closing session of Sunday.
Egypt’s benchmark index EGX30 inched up by 0.31% to close at 5185.43 pts; while the EGX20 rose by 0.25% to end at 6023.59 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 increased by 0.53% to conclude at 443.51 p. The price index EGX100 advanced by 0.44% to finish at 747.44 p.
The capital market has closed at EGP 352.915 billion on Sunday.
Declining Traded Volumes & Trades
Through the closing session of Sunday, the trading volume has reached 60.994 million securities. For the traded value, it hit EGP 190.178 million, exchanged through 14.343 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session, 162 listed securities have been traded in; 48 declined, 68 advanced; while 46 keeping their previous levels.
Investors’ Activity
Egyptians were net buyers seizing 93.91% of the total market, with a net equity of EGP 512.481 thousand, excluding the deals.
Meanwhile, Arabs and the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 2.79% and 3.31% respectively, of the total market, with net equities of EGP 317.495 thousand and EGP 194.986 thousand, excluding the deals.
