During the closing session of Tuesday, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has posted gains of EGP 1.3 billion. The capital market has amounted to EGP 367.238 billion.
The indices closed in green.
The main index, EGX30 surged by 0.61% to end at 5320.95 p. EGX20 edged up by 0.85% to close at 6122.04 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 inched higher by 0.10% to conclude at 471.67 pts. Price index EGX100 rose by 0.16% to finish at 790.17 p.
Traded volume reached 144.190 million securities worth EGP 451.348 million, exchanged 24.066 thousand transactions.
This was after trading in 165 listed securities; 62 declined, 75 advanced; while 28 keeping their previous levels.
The EGX’s closing gains were driven by Arabs’ buying transactions as they were net buyers seizing 14.05% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 51.966 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians and the non-Arab foreigners were net sellers seizing 74.5% and 11.46% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 19.945 million and EGP 32.020 million excluding the deals.
