The Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) warned insurance companies to issue travel insurance policies via tourism companies.
No party is allowed to issue insurance policies other than licensed insurance companies through authorized insurance brokers, EFSA affirmed.
Tourism companies which deal with insurance companies are issuing travel insurance policies, violating the provisions of the law no. 10 of 1981 of the Insurance Supervision & Control law in Egypt which states that the institutions which offer insurance services are insurance companies, cooperative insurance societies, private and government insurance funds and insurance pools.
