The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched today Edu-Egypt’s fourth job fair, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education. 13 governmental universities and 45 faculties in the Information Technology Institute (ITI) will participate in the fair, which will last from the 13th to the 27th of September.
On his part, Hany Mahmoud, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, stated that the aim of this job fair is to create job opportunities in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry, as a way for combating unemployment, increasing the revenues of the national income, and attracting new investments via the export of information technology services.
He noted that 17 Egyptian and international companies will take part in that job fair, including Vodafone, Wasla, Raya, IBM, TE-Data, Teleperformance, and HSBC bank.
Eng. Heba Saleh, CEO of ITI, explained that the fair was organized in partnership with the ITI, the Information Technology Industry Development (ITIDA), and the Ministry of Higher Education. She further pointed out that the employment rates of the Edu-Egypt program’s graduates recorded 82%.
