Egypt’s Engineering Consultants Group (ECG) has won a public-private-partnership (PPP) water project worth $60 million in Kigali, the capital and largest city of Rwanda.
The project aims to develop a new, sustainable bulk water supply plant in Kigali to serve Kigali city’ potable water requirements.
From his part, Amr Allouba – ECG Chairman – said his company is tasked with conducting the engineering designs and the implementation of the project in cooperation with Metito (Overseas) Limited, UAE-based firm specialized in water management and treatment systems.
Allouba clarified that the works of the project would encompass a water treatment plant with a capacity of 40.000m3 daily in addition to a water tank with a capacity of 12.000m3 in Kagarama.
