President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Suma Chakrabarti started a two-day visit to Cairo on Tuesday.
Chakrabarti’s visit comes in line with the launch of the bank vision and strategy for Egypt in 2016 for the first time. EBRD new strategy should comply with the Egyptian people needs and demands which would result into achieving sustainable and comprehensive economic growth.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi receives Chakrabarti today at the presidency headquarters in El-Etehadiya palace in the presence of the Minister of Cooperation, Sahar Nasr to enhance the bilateral cooperation and go through the national projects and the promising investments opportunities.
The visit is considered to be the first after EBRD ranked Egypt number 4 in terms of investment among its 36 countries of operation in October 2015.
In addition, EBRD president would hold meetings the Prime Minister and number of officials from the public and private sectors to boost bilateral cooperation between both sides.
