DHL Express appoints new UAE country manager

DHL Express , the world’s leading Logistics Company announced the appointment of its new UAE Country Manager, Geoff Walsh. As previous Country Manager for DHL Express Saudi, Geoff brings a wealth of experience in the logistics industry. Managing integrated operations, Geoff will be focused on developing DHL ‘s Freight and Express solutions using a defined customer-driven logistics strategy that optimizes warehousing and transportation opera tions.

Commenting on the appointment, Nour Suliman, CEO Middle East and North Africa at DHL Express said; “Geoff is a perfect addition to our UAE team. We have a strong well motivated team in UAE, and Geoff is a solid leader and a delightful character; that, along with his extensive experience in the Middle East and the logistics sector, means that our UAE team just grew stronger.”

Geoff joined DHL Express in 1996 where he held various positions across the MENA region and South East Europe. In June 2009, he was appointed Road Network Manager MENAT, he then served as National and Area Operations Manager across the UAE. Geoff has overseen the operations of various divisions since joining DHL in 2006, as an Area Operational Manager he established and sustained strategic relationships in culturally diverse environment such as Oman and Saudi.

DHL has been a pioneer in the Middle East logistics industry for more than 35 years and currently has 220 service centres and service points across 19 countries in the region and employs over 4,400 employees across the Middle East.
