Delta Life Assurance is planning to double its market share in the Egyptian life insurance industry to become 10 percent in the coming three years, its chief executive said Tuesday.
Atef El-Zeibak further told Amwal Al Ghad that Delta Life’s market share is currently 5 percent in the Egyptian life insurance industry.
Boosting market share in Egypt is part of Delta Life’s strategy that aims to record higher growth rates in returns and sales, El-Zeibak added.
Delta Life also targets geographical expansions by inaugurating 10 more branches within the current financial year 2016-2017 as part of a plan to boost its presence in Egypt to 30 offices by the end of next June 2017, he said.
Delta Life was established as an independent company in August 2013. Before that it was part of Delta Insurance, one of the insurance industry’s leaders. Delta Life has more than 10 branches operating all over Egypt, according to its official website.
