Crédit Agricole SA says nine-month standalone net profit in Egypt grew 54.09 percent from a year ago, recording 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($84.8 million) from 975.7 million pounds last year.
The French bank’s deposits in Egypt rose 0.27 percent to 39.26 billion pounds during the first nine months of 2017.
Loans and credit facilities fell 3.6 percent to 16.7 billion pounds from 17.35 billion pounds. Total assets climbed 2.4 percent to 47.31 billion pounds, the bank added in a statement on Thursday.
Consolidated net profit also edged higher by 56.5 percent to reach 1.49 billion pounds.
