Crédit Agricole Egypt’s Assets Surge to EGP23.39 bln in 9 Months

Crédit Agricole Egypt’s loan and credit facilities portfolio grew by EGP 151.2 million to EGP 12.94 billion at the end of September 2013, versus EGP 12.79 billion at the end of December 2012.

Crédit Agricole Egypt’s financial results showed an increase of EGP 626.01 million in the lender’s deposits portfolio to register EGP 23.39 billion by the end of September 2013, against EGP 22.76 billion by 2012-end.

Cash and balances with the Egyptian Central Bank (CBE) have surged by EGP 582.8 million to EGP 1.896 billion by September-end, opposed to EGP 1.313 billion by 2012-end.

Moreover, Crédit Agricole Egypt’s total assets fell by EGP 489.6 million to EGP 27.59 billion by September-end, versus EGP 28.08 billion.

The Bank’s investments in treasury bills and bonds also dropped by EGP 1.23 billion to hit EGP 3.15 billion at September-end, against EGP 4.38 billion at 2012-end.
