Karim El Fateh, Intel Egypt country manager, said his company seeks to establish a link between investors and those who have new ideas. Intel is currently working on developing a new program to finance Entrepreneurship Projects, in cooperation with Intel Capital and a number of investment funds.
El Fateh said to Amwal Al Ghad that Intel Egypt is now holding talks with the funds to provide soft loans for a number of projects, which are being studied in the field of specialized technology, and establish infrastructure for the communications and information technology sector.
The company also offers training programs to students on how to know investors, the fields that attract them, and their methodology in presenting their topics according to the market needs, so as to help entrepreneurs to obtain the funding required for their projects, he said.
El Fateh affirmed that technological innovation is the weapon used now among competitors, pointing out that technological advances will not lead to economic development unless entrepreneurs make effective use of all the available resources, including technology, to integrate their projects and companies into the economy.
Intel has achieved quarterly revenues of $ 13.5 billion in the second quarter of this year backed by its data center. It has also launched many products such as Altrabook, Smartphones based on Intel technology in the second half of the year, in addition to its long-term investments in various fields.
