Eng. Hany Mahmoud, Minister of Communications and Information Technology affirmed that the Ministry depends on seven programs for developing students’ IT skills. These programs include the “graduation projects support program” held by ITIDA, which provides material support up to EGP 10000 for the best graduation projects in the faculties of Engineering and Computer Science. The Minister also added that ITIDA has funded 111 graduation projects in different faculties this year.
In his opening speech in the “Egyptian Engineering Day,” he added that the Ministry will offer summer internships for more than 400 students , stressing on the importance of training students in the the Faculty of Engineering, given that they represent the momentum to the sector during the upcoming period.
Moreover, the Ministry cooperates with the companies working in the sector of communications and information technology, universities, and research organizations, in order to support joint projects, which reached 57 projects since the program was launched in 2007.
The Ministry of Communications has also launched EDU Egypt program to qualify university students to meet the needs of the job market by providing them with a training on language and soft skills. He added that this program allows students to work in the BPO industry and that 28 thousands students have graduated from this projects up till now.
Above all, the Information Technology Institute (ITI) launches the Professional Training Program annually, and 23 classes have graduated from this project, including 7000 graduates.
