Cairo is hosting Monday the Egypt Real Estate Summit, under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Development, for the fourth year in a row.
Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly, is to reveal details of new real estate regulations at Cityscape Egypt Real Estate Summit Monday, according to a press statement by the ministry.
The large-scale event will host some 400 decision makers and senior officials to attract local and international stakeholders.
“The high profile summit will be a platform for announcing the issuance of the new real estate regulations after being reviewed and amended by Investment Ministry,” Minister Madbouly said.
He added, “We have consulted a number of investors and put their input into consideration. We will sign an MOU with the Ministry of Investment to apply the one-stop-shop system in New Urban Communities Authority.”
During the two-day summit, the Housing Minister along with Minister of Investment, Ashraf Salman, and Minister of Supply Khaled Hanafy, plus more than 50 expert speakers representing leading companies and foundations from Egypt and abroad, are expected to review the latest developments of the real estate sector and future strategies adopted by the government to bolster this sector.
The Egypt Real Estate Summit will end at 1 p.m. (11:00 GMT) Wednesday, just ahead of the opening of the Cityscape Egypt Exhibition which will take place from Sept. 16-19 at the Cairo International Convention Centre.
