CI Capital Holding for Financial Investments has acquired almost 27 percent stake in Cleopatra Hospitals in a deal valued at more than 2 billion Egyptian pounds ($127.3 million), chairman of Banque Misr said on Tuesday.
Banque Misr, Egypt’s second largest state-run bank, owns a 90 percent stake in CI Capital.
The bank aims to integrate its activities in the health sector and allure more investors to build the largest investment platform in Egypt and Africa, chairman Mohamed El-Etreby further told Amwal Al Ghad.
The bank has also bought stakes in Nile Scan and Labs Company through CI Capital, El-Etreby added.
