Central Security Forces are forcefully attempting to terminate the sit-in led by students inside Nile University’s buildings located in the 6th of October city. It is noted that these buildings have been allocated to Zewail City for Science and Technology. On the other hand, a number of activists are calling on Twitter for supporting the protesters.
In this respect, Hamdy Kandil stated that Dr. Zewail is responsible for the assault on the NU students . He pointed out that the situation was aggravated due to the government’s failure in taking serious actions and that it is not reasonable to destroy a scientific edifice in order to build another on its ruins.
On his part, Wael Abdel-Fatah said on his Twitter account that forcing the NU protesters to leave is considered a biased decision towards the illegitimate party, describing that as a revival of the principle that the winner will always be the one with stronger power and influence.
