Cemex aims Egypt sales grow 5% in 2022

Mexican concrete giant Cemex aims sales in Egypt would grow by around 5 percent this year, said Carlos Emilio Gonzalez, the company’s president for Egypt and UAE, citing the growing demand.

“I expect sales in Egypt would grow between 3.7 million tonnes and 4 million tonnes in 2022.” Gonzalez told reporters at a roundtable in Cairo.

Cemex Egypt captures around 8 percent of the local cement market, with a production capacity of around 5.7 million tonnes a year.
