The Minister of Finance Momtaz Al-Saeed announced that the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) received US$ 500 million which is the value of the third tranche of the US$ 2 billion Qatari deposit last October 30th.
The fourth tranche of the Qatar deposit which is US$ 500 million will be received soon, he added.
Al-Saeed announced that the executive procedures of the second tranche were finalized and the executive contract was signed by Egypt’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) and Qatar Central Bank (QCB) last October.
Qatar injected the first tranche of the Qatari deposit, also worth US$ 500 million, to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) last August.
