The outstanding balances of treasury bonds issued by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on behalf of the Ministry of Finance surged by EGP 7.8 billion (2.6%), registering EGP 304.3 billion at the end of last October, compared to EGP 296.5 billion at the end of last September.
The 68th tranche of the 10-year bonds (worth EGP 800 million) that CBE issued last October under the primary dealers system will be mature on 3/4/2022.
The 71st tranche of the 5-year bonds (worth EGP 3 billion) that CBE issued last October will be mature on 14/8/2017 and the 7-year bonds (worth EGP 2 billion) will be mature on 21/8/2019.
The 74th tranche of the 3-year bonds (worth EGP 2 billion) that CBE issued last October will be mature on 9/10/2015.
The value of T-bonds issued by CBE on behalf of the Ministry of Finance registered EGP 304.3 billion, accounting for 22.9% of GDP which reached EGP 1.331 trillion.
