Egypt’s annual core inflation jumped to 11.15% in September, compared with 8.97% in August, the country’s central bank (CBE) said Thursday.
Egypt’s urban consumer inflation rate also rose to 10.15% in September from 9.74% in August, the bank noted.
The central bank in September lowered its key interest rates for the second time in less than two months to stimulate the country’s battered economy.
