The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), on behalf of the Ministry of Finance, issued 14 billion Egyptian pounds in treasury bills Sunday.
The T-bills were offered in two installments, with the first valued at 6.5 billion pounds with a three-month term and the second worth 7.5 billion pounds with a 9-month term.
For the current financial year, the budget deficit is estimated to record 370 billion pounds, planned by the ministry to be financed through treasury bills and bonds and through international and Arab loans. Source: Egypt today
