Egypt’s stock market keep climbing Monday registering gains worth 2.652 billion Egyptian pounds (US$ 338million) backed by Arab and foreign investors’ buying appetite.
The Market capitalisation has recorded 390.605 billion pounds during the closing session of Monday.
Indices
Egypt’s benchmark index, EGX30 increased 1.31percent to 6086.4 points.
The EGX50 EWI index grew higher 1.45 percent to 1126.46 points.
EGX20 rose 1.42 percent to 6113.78 points.
In addition, the mid- and small-cap index EGX70 hiked 0.47 percent to 353.9 points. The price index, EGX100 increased 0.90 percent 717.71 points.
Turnovers high
On Monday, the bourse’s trading volume has hit 229.874 million securities, with turnovers closed at 1.007 billion Egyptian pounds, exchanged through 21.127 thousand transactions.
Also during the closing session,165 listed securities have been traded in; 37 declined, 86 advanced; while 38 kept their previous levels.
Investors’ Activities
Arab and Non-Arab foreign investors were net buyer Monday getting 2.13 percent and 9.08 percent respectively of the total markets, with a net equity of 14.856 million pounds and 7.258 million pounds, respectively, excluding the deals.
On the contrary, local investors were net sellers seizing 88.79 percent of the total market, with a net equity of 22.394 million pounds, excluding the deals.
