The National Election Authority (NEA) announced on Monday that Abdel Fattah al-Sisi won Egypt’s 2024 presidential elections with 89.6 percent of valid votes.
The elections witnessed a turnout of 66.8 percent, with 44.7 million citizens voting in the elections at home and abroad, out of nearly 67 million eligible voters, NEA head Hazem Badawy said.
al-Sisi will serve a six-year term until 2030. He was elected to the presidency in 2014, and re-elected in 2018, both times with 97 percent of the vote.
