Barclays Egypt has launched Africa Graduate Development Program to develop and advance the skills of its leading officials and young and talented employees through an intensive training program in South Africa as part of its strategy for 2013.

The bank has announced in statement that it allocated EGP one million for the program. Ten employees from the bank’s different departments will be chosen each two months to travel for a different country in Africa to attend training courses.

Edward Marx, managing director of Barclays Egypt, said the program comes consistent with Barclays’ policy which targets to develop the skills and capabilities of talented people.

Barclays Egypt allocates from 17% to 20% of its budget to develop and train its leading officials and young employees as its human development department organized 134 training courses for 1874 employees in 2012, he added.
