Australian project management firm Facilitate Corp. filed a lawsuit against Twitter on Thursday for $665,000, claiming breach of contract over its failure to pay its invoices for work done in four countries.
The Australian firm filed the suit in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, alleging non-payment of bills and rent against Twitter.
Twitter owes Facilitate £203,000, S$546,600, and A$61,300 for work between 2022 and early 2023 on installing sensors in Twitter’s offices in London and Dublin, completing an office fit-out in Singapore, and clearing an office in Australia.
Facilitate Corp. is not the first firm to sue Twitter since Elon Musk’s acquisition of the social media platform; a former public relations firm filed a suit in New York court in May, alleging that Twitter had not paid its bills, as well as US advisory firm, Innisfree M&A Inc. which is seeking $1.9 million for unpaid bills after advising Twitter on Musk’s acquisition.
British independent commercial business managing a property portfolio belonging to the monarchy, Crown Estate, also began court proceedings for alleged unpaid rent at Twitter’s London headquarters.
