Aramex has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Egyptian firm EG-Gate to double and boost the volume of Egyptian exports.
Aramex is an international express, mail delivery and logistics services company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company was founded by Jordanian Fadi Ghandour and Bill Kingson in 1982.
Upon the agreement, the Dubai-based logistics firm will provide EG-Gate with supply services, whether locally or internationally, Al Bayan Newspaper reported.
Samer Gharaibeh, CEO of Aramex in Africa, said that the company aims at doubling its investments in Egypt.
The Emirati courier had posted that investments in its Tanzanian unit have increased by ten percent duringthe first quarter of 2018 to reach 93 percent.
Aramex previously announced its full exit from its unit in Botswana, recording a profit of AED 811,000 from the unit during the first quarter of the year from losses worth AED 86,000 in during the same period a year earlier, according to Al Khaleej Newspaper.
