Ibrahim Mabrouk, board member of Egyptian construction giant Arab Contractors (AC), said on Monday that transport projects are the backbone of development for Africa.
These kinds of projects needs more support from all parties, Mabrouk further said at the Builders of Egypt Forum that is taking place in Cairo.
The AC official has called the Egyptian companies that have presence in Africa to support all the startups to do the same there.
Arab Contractors’ strong presence in Africa did not came easily, but with its sincere efforts and great coordination with all ministries and authorities in the continent to implement its projects in their countries, Mabrouk explained.
The company has been working in Africa for 55 years, with current presence in 21 countries across the continent, he said.
AC is currently working on a 200-kilometre road in Ethiopia extending to Kenya’s borders, Mabrouk added.
