Egypt’s leading construction company, Arab contractors is set to undertake one of the country’s national road projects with investment cost estimated at EGP 557 million (US$77.8 million), said an official.
Speaking to Amwal Al Ghad on sidelines of Builders of Egypt Forum concluded last Thursday, Saad Al Goyoushi – Chairman of General Authority for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport (GARBLT) – said Arab Contractors is tasked with carrying out Al Fayoum-El Wahat Road project.
Al Fayoum-El Wahat Road is set to run for 125 km, where Arab Contractors would make an extension to a length of 75 km alongside upgrade the existing 50-km road, Al Goyoushi noted.
The Egyptian official further pointed out that Al Fayoum-El Wahat Road extension and upgrading project would be completed within next August.
The project includes building up two lanes of 4 metres in width for each, Al Goyoushi added.
