Arab construction federation leaders to gather at Builders of Egypt next March

Several chief executives of Arab construction federations will be attending the second edition of the Annual Builders of Egypt Forum, which will take place in Cairo during March 1-2.

The Arab officials are set to discuss means of boosting integration between Arab and Egyptian contractors firms so as to carry out national projects in the region in the coming period.

Fahad Al Hammadi – Chairman of the Federation of Arab Contractors – is to deliver an opening keynote speech during the first session at Builders of Egypt Forum, entitled “The Arab-African Partnership in the Construction Sector….A Road to implement National Projects in the Region.”

Additionally, the first session will witness the participation of Ahmed Saif Belhasa – Chairman of UAE Contractors’ Association; Abdel Meguid Kesheir – Chairman of the Libyan General Union for Building and Construction; Abdel Haq El-Arayshy – Vice Chairman of the National Society for Building and Public Works; and Al Walid Moustafa –Sudanese Contractors Association.

During the forum, participants plan to discuss establishing a database of all the anticipated projects in both Arab and African markets. They will review of the Arab contractor firms’ competitiveness status so as to meet the needs of those national projects in the region.

Moreover, the attendees will tackle means of integration between the Arab construction federations so as to take part in reconstruction of war-torn countries in the region, notably Libya, Syria, and Yemen.

The second edition of Builders of Egypt Forum will highlight the most remarkable projects in Egypt announced during 2015, such as Suez Canal Axis Development, New Administrative Capital, and the Reclamation of 1.5 million Feddans. Those projects can bring about a significant shift in the investment map in the region and in Egypt’s growth rates within the upcoming years.

During the event, Egyptian government will unveil plans to carry out several developmental projects within 2016. The forum aims to discuss the challenges related to financing those projects alongside to encourage Egyptian contractors to enhance their role to support national economy.
